facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg-founded the company on February 4 and since the then the company celebrates its anniversary every year and calls it as ‘Friends Day’. On this day Zuckerberg shared a post on Facebook talking about the journey and the mistakes he has committed.
Zuckerberg posted that he started Facebook when he was 19 and has committed all the possible mistakes one can think of. He also added that he made various bad deals and errors.
He posted, “Sometimes people ask what I’ve learned along the way. I was 19 when I started Facebook, and I didn’t know anything about building a company or global internet service. Over the years I’ve made almost every mistake you can imagine. I’ve made dozens of technical errors and bad deals.”
Zuckerberg also mentioned that he trusted wrong people and gave wrong job roles to talented people around him. He further adds that he launched various products one after the other and failed in most of them.
His post reads, “I’ve trusted the wrong people and I’ve put talented people in the wrong roles. I’ve missed important trends and I’ve been slow to others. I’ve launched product after product that failed.”
Zuckerberg also adds that the reason Facebook is making progress is that they are trying to solve the challenges. He also mentions that the journey towards the growth and progress is still on and they will keep on improving. Along with this, Facebook will continue bringing friends and family together.
On the occasion of Friends Day, Facebook rolled out a new feature which enables the users to give an award to any of their friends. Users can select any of their friends along with the template and description options.
