GOAL SETTING
A goal is a dream with a deadline. Working without a goal is like groping in the dark. Goals must be challenging , achievable, flexible and time bound. For example say, my goal is to take 80/100 marks, Stick to it.
AIMING FOR THE BIRD’S EYE:
In the Mahabharata, the conversation between Dronacharya and Arjuna is worth to note. Of all students Arjuna’s answer, Guruji, I can see only the bird’s eye is quite exemplary and clear to define concentration. To excel in exams, concentration is the key to dedication.
SELF DISCIPLINE:
It is the first step to success. A famous saying goes as, “I do not have the key to success but the key to failure is definitely to try and please everyone.” Know your strengths and weakness and work on it.
DOING SELECTIVE STUDY:
At this juncture, Sir Pareto’s principle suits best, i.e. 20% causes are responsible for 80% effects. Selective study is all about doing less things in more details than doing more things with less details. Before you choose to do selective study, make sure your question paper will have a lot of options.
MAKING GOOD NOTES:
Condense the matter and organize it logically. Simplify the language in your own words. Use figures and diagrams wherever required.
STUDY TECHNIQUES:
SQ3R- survey, question, read, recall and revise are the five commandments of SQ3R.
FRT- fast revision technique. Brain works on a simple rule i.e use it or lose it. iii) Teach me, Teach you.
